Meet The Team
Eur Ing Mike Wild CEng MIGas MBIM
Chairman, Founder & Chartered Engineer
Mike Wild, a qualified engineer with a visionary spirit, embarked on an entrepreneurial journey in 1977, founding MW Polymer Products Ltd. His foray into the business world was driven by a keen insight that identified a significant gap in a new market when natural gas replaced manufactured gas. Undeterred by challenges, Mike’s determination and expertise has developed innovative products that has kept abreast of changes and redefined standards to become an established manufacturer of polymer repair products for the gas utilities.
Manufacturing companies today, constantly require an innovative approach to cope with modern standards and the introduction of new technology to make the operation safer and more cost effective than before. Mike has a strong belief in the ethic of innovation to overcome problems and has worked on many European Commission and Innovate UK supported development projects to initiate and see through projects required by industry.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Mike Wild is, and always has been interested in automotive heritage on both two and four wheels. Serving an engineering apprenticeship at Rolls Royce has fueled a desire to desire for collecting and restoring vintage Rolls Royce automobiles and motorcycles.
This hobby typically reflects Mike character, of overcoming the challenge and obstacles to recreate and even improve obsolete and broken parts that enable vehicles to run again. An important feature in an entrepreneur. Not only has he restored many historic vehicles but also has ridden and driven them, thousands of miles. Like twice entering the grueling Cannonball race from coast to coast across America and in 2022 entering the London to Brighton run, riding a 1904 motorcycle called The Dreadnought, which he prepared for the event.
This multifaceted entrepreneur’s story is one of triumph over challenges, innovation in business, and a deep-seated passion that extends beyond the boardroom into the world of preserving automotive heritage.
