Alongside the success of the England Lionesses Euro 2022 victory, Codnor Boys FC also have
something to celebrate, having won the Mansfield Summer League. The Under 12’s team played in
their new sponsors kit for the first time and manager Andy Price hopes this win will bring good
fortune for the coming season.
Andy said: “It’s great that MW Polymers have supported the club by providing the new kit. The
boys love it and it’s fantastic that they won this tournament wearing it for the first time”.
Last season the team played consistently throughout the season in the Derby Junior Football
League and tournaments that followed have also seen them keep their winning formula. In April
they won the Castle Donnington tournament and prior to that they reached the semi-finals only
missing out on penalties to Littleover Dazzlers in the sweltering heatwave. So, with these recent
performances and their new kits, the team look set to keep the goals coming thick and fast
throughout the coming season.
